Sonia Kim-Ursu joins BNK Sum

BNK Sum Basket (WKBL) has agreed to terms with Sonia Kim-Ursu, a 30-year-old Romanian shooting guard who stands at 175cm and was born in 1993. She began the season playing for S-Birds.
She was also a member of the Romanian international program for some years. She played for the Romanian Senior National Team between 2012 and 2019 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2013.
She also repped Romania at the 3x3 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, three years ago.
She is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Korea (Woori Bank), Poland (Wroclaw), Czech Republic (KP Brno and Nymburk), and Romania (Olimpia, Alba Iulia, and Brasov).
She played in the final of Korean WKBL in 2022 and was voted to Eurobasket.com Romanian League All-Domestic Players Team in 2015.
